This fort was built in two years time, by Hiroji Indulkar.
Here on this fort Shivaji Maharaj managed to kill Afzal Khan & also defeated his army.
In 1818, the fort went into the hands of British. Currently, the fort is being managed by the Bhonsale family of Satara. |
